The opportunity


Right now, we have numerous opportunities for project controls, scheduling and planning specialists to join Transport for NSW or Sydney Metro in 2022!
The Project Controls Coordinator or Planner will be responsible for providing management to project controls and reporting systems and/or maintaining schedules for a portfolio of projects. Depending on the role and project, this may cover different aspects such as resource management, financial management, cost control, planning and scheduling, as well as risk and assurance. We have numerous roles available ranging from permanent to fixed-term, depending on the requirements of the project/program.


Key accountabilities:
 

  • Support the implementation of TfNSW endorsed standards in the delivery of the practices to plan, monitor, and control project scope, costs, schedule, resource, risks and change management for the project, as required.

  • Provide input into development of strategies, processes and procedures relating to estimating, cost, schedule resource, change and risk management and reporting against predefined scope deliverables, as required.

  • Provide the project management team with integrated, accurate, and timely whole-of-project/program reports with analysis while providing strategies for mitigating variances relating to scheduling, resource and cost forecasting, as required.

  • Provide support to the Senior Manager, Project Controls or Director Project Controls in collaboration and engagement with stakeholders and staff to develop progress KPIs that are tracked and monitored, as well as prepare regular reports detailing project progress against plan, highlighting critical issues and monthly forecasts for project costs to complete against budgets and committed costs and cross-checking and validating data for anomalies, irregularities or inconsistencies, as required.

  • Provide input into the implementation and maintenance of an efficient and effective document management system, ensuring compliance across the project team.

 

About you
 

  • Demonstrated experience in a project controls management or project scheduling role.

  • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and present findings in a concise and meaningful way.

 

Salary and benefits

 

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9A ($138,670) – Grade 9E ($155,309) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
