In this role, you'll:

The Development Branch within the Infrastructure and Place division is responsible for developing transport and place solutions enabling broader economic, social and environmental outcomes.
 
As the Project Development Manager, you will join our Wagga Wagga based Regional Infrastructure Development team working across southwestern regional NSW. You will be responsible for leading road and bridge infrastructure projects’ early development through to completing concept design, environmental approval and business case preparation.
 
You will lead an interdisciplinary team of specialist and support staff to complete and manage Development tasks such as:

 

  • Managing the project design progression through strategic options to a final concept, including incorporating stakeholder requirements.

  • Set and monitor procurement activities, including preparing service briefs for internal and external service providers, tender and contract documentation, assessment and management

  • Contribute to delivery strategy and project business cases, lead and manage project plan implementation including scheduling activities, key milestones, and deliverables within an agreed budget.

About you


You will have relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in planning, engineering, project management or a related discipline.
 
A proven project management background in developing large multi-disciplinary, complex infrastructure projects, whilst managing and leading multidisciplinary teams.
 


Essential requirements
 

  • Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in planning, civil engineering, project management or related discipline.

  • Experience in managing complex infrastructure project development

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate assess strategic and concept designs and progress environmental assessments and project approvals, incorporating stakeholder requirements.

  • The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours or to travel on occasion.
