In this role, you'll:
Implement new technologies, driving innovation and building partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions for Operations Management in the Coordinator General division of Transport for NSW.
Work independently, but closely with Project and Program Managers managing a diverse portfolio of operational technology projects, which include system design and development, system enhancements, implementation and integration of transportation (roadside/motorway management/multimodal) technologies, and IT infrastructure improvements.
Lead and manage the planning and delivery of technology projects and systems to meet business objectives. Example of projects may include: Enhancement and capability improvements to the InterCAD Emergency Messaging System (ICEMS); Delivery of a Surface Transport Network Performance system; Modernisation and redevelopment of the Live Traffic NSW website and app ecosystem.
Be responsible for the development, delivery, and operational transition of IT systems delivered internally and through external partners.
Fixed term, full time opportunity until June 2026 | Flexible Hybrid work with office based at South Eveleigh, Sydney.

About you
You’re a seasoned Project Manager recognised for delivering IT and operational technology projects into complex, matrix business environments involving large stakeholder groups. You possess:
- A proven track record in delivering projects in the Operational Technology domain, experience delivering transportation technologies and solutions, and managing projects with complex vendor engagements (well regarded).
- Expertise in engaging with business and technical stakeholders across all levels and in balancing the competing needs and expectations of stakeholders within fast-paced and agile environments.
- Experience collaborating with a team.
- Exceptional organisation skills and are familiar with working under pressure and tight timeframes.
- Adaptability and openness to learn and work on different technologies.
