About the team

 

Sydney Metro West is the city’s next underground metro railway.

 

This investment will transform Sydney for generations to come; doubling rail capacity between Parramatta and the CBD, linking new communities to rail services and supporting employment growth and new housing supply.

 

It’s a program of epic proportions which will bring together technical specialists, world-class technology and innovative ways of working.

 

The opportunity

 

We have multiple fixed term Project Manager positions (until Dec 2025) available on the Sydney Metro West Tunnel & Civil Engineering Package. The Tunnel Packages runs from Westmead through into Hunter Street.

 

It is a challenging project with lots of significant stakeholders and unique challenges connecting the Central River City to the heart of Sydney CBD.

Lead and manage the delivery of construction activities in a geographical area along the ETP alignment.

 

Leading a small team and will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of this mega project.

 

Provide management, technical and commercial input in the construction of the works.

 

Monitor activities to ensure that works are delivered to the required standards and in accordance with safe work methods and environmental practices.

 

Work with tier 1 contractors and service providers to deliver complex works in a collaborative and cooperative manner, to support subsequent construction activities and to ensure the timely and effective delivery of the project.

About you

 

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction or equivalent experience.

 

Demonstrated knowledge of the structure of public and private transport industries in NSW, associated legislation and safety standards.

 

This position is identified as a Rail Safety Worker (RSW).

This is a Transport Senior Service (TSSM) fixed term opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration package.
