In this role, you'll:
As the Project Support Engineer in our development office within Infrastructure Projects and Engineering, you will establish a pipeline of Road and Active Transport projects based on the NSW Government's strategic vision.
It's all about looking at different solutions and out of the box thinking, working with stakeholders to achieve the best outcome for the people of NSW.
You’ll complete high level reviews to align projects with government expectations which can dictate how the future network will fit together.
You will aid in infrastructure investment and help to gain project approval and priority.
You will work through strategic design, concept design, environmental approvals and final business cases for projects within our roads space.
You will help maintain a high level of WH&S, environmental management and quality on projects.
This roles is a hybrid opportunity, however, due to the collaborative nature and vast degree of project teams you will work with, 3 onsite days per week in the Sydney region will be preferred.

About you
- A strategic thinker that can go from high level problems to strategic options.
- Infrastructure Development is your passion.
- You have experience and an understanding of Environmental Assessments.
- You want to help create an environment where people can innovate and thrive.
- You have the ability to consider the impacts of the environment, constructability, sense of place and project alignment within an infrastructure pipeline.
- A natural multitasker able to prioritise workloads, manage risk and deliver project outcomes.
- You enjoy collaboration, can seek advice from internal and external experts to resolve and negotiate issues within the constraints.
- Working in the road space, it would be beneficial if you have a civil or structural background, ideally within project development.
- You hold an engineering (Civil / Structural or related) degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Possess a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license.
