Senior Business Analyst
Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000
If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to out community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
You’ll be at the heart of one of the most ambitious rail transformations in the country—helping regional communities connect through a safer, smarter, and more efficient transport future.
You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, delivery partners and project leaders to identify, shape and document business requirements that will drive the successful introduction of the new fleet. This includes analysis of operational readiness, integration of new technologies, and ensuring that solutions are not only fit-for-purpose but also aligned to business value and measurable benefits.
You’ll proactively manage scope boundaries and handle ambiguity by validating needs through workshops, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll act as the vital link between the business and technical teams, translating real operational needs into clear, actionable specifications that drive meaningful outcomes. A key part of your work will involve building rapport and maintaining strong, productive relationships with a large and complex group of stakeholders.
You’ll engage subject matter experts across the business to identify opportunities for operational improvement driven by the introduction of the new fleet and associated technologies. Additionally, you'll review complex project deeds and contracts to extract relevant information and convert it into meaningful, actionable business deliverables. As part of the readiness effort, you will help plan and execute key activities such as process redesign, defining training requirements, and assessing change impacts. You’ll also ensure traceability of requirements through delivery, supporting governance and change control as solution design evolves.
Applying industry-standard business analysis frameworks and tools will be essential in maintaining quality and consistency across your work. Finally, you’ll support the project through to the dynamic testing phase, ensuring a seamless transition into live operations.
