In this role, you'll:


Work closely with the Internal Audit team and internal stakeholders providing support in the delivery of audits and reviews that provide assurance to the Sydney Metro Audit and Risk Committee. As part of the role, you will assist in the development and planning of audit programs and testing procedures while addressing identified risks. A key aspect of this role is to undertake testing to achieve objectives of the audit that are designed to add value and improve the agency’s operations.
 
You will conduct assigned audit engagements from beginning to end to ensure all identified audit scope areas have been fully addressed. Your motivation for continuous improvement, particularly with internal audit’s methodology while applying industry best practice will be highly regarded along with a strong attitude towards identifying and communicating issues raised and your desire to offer recommended solutions that are relevant to the business and potential risks.

This is a temporary full time fixed term position with a 30 June 2025 end date.

About you


You have a background in auditing and experience in developing and implementing audit scopes and programs for internal audits with a large organisation or large infrastructure projects

You have knowledge of, and apply, the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards
 
You are very familiar with interagency collaboration and build and manage relationships easily

You’re recognised as a person who works with a high degree of autonomy, calls out risks and can apply influence and negotiation skills to when engaging with highly skilled/specialised individuals
 
Your enthusiasm and passion for your work is evident and you are recognised as being a person who acts with integrity and has a keen eye for detail.
