In this role, you'll:
• Help support the delivery across major contract package(s) for the ongoing Sydney Metro station works works.
• The primary purpose of the role is to support the Implementation Groups, working with SMEs from across the engineering, design and assurance (EDA) function, and the EDA technical partner to provide technical management with a focus on civil ,structural engineering and rail interfaces for tunnelling and stations packages. Experience and understanding of technical management with large civil and underground structures scope will be seen as a strength for this role.
• In this role you'll be required to lead the development and management of effective, timely and evidence-based resolutions to identified civil and structural engineering challenges within the project leveraging the skills of the broader EDA team and the respective SMEs
• You'll be responsible to ensure that project designs and delivery meet customer and transport product requirements, achieve design excellence, integrate effectively with other transport modes and the local environment, incorporate civil engineering best practice, and meet contract specifications and relevant standards.
• When required to do so, the role will support the work of Sydney Metro project groups with design development, management of appointed design contractors and coordination of design activities with other groups within the Project team to ensure alignment between other key work streams and the design component.
This is a temporary full time 12 Month role. Role is hybrid with an office and work from home balance. Office is located at 680 George St.Role is at TSSM level (Senior Manager)

About you
You possess a tertiary qualification in engineering, or related discipline. Has demonstrated highly developed technical experience in the construction industry and proven experience of working in integrated and multi-disciplinary technical teams on multimodal infrastructure projects as well as the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work and operate independently, managing tasks simultaneously. High level of communication skills and great exposure and ability in tactfully liaising with senior stakeholder group, is essential.
