In this role, you'll:


Be leading a team of Safety Professionals, Investigators and Advisors, and you will coach and upskill your team to ensure the delivery of safety related services and advice to divisional line managers meet operational requirements and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.


You will be working with line managers directly providing guidance and advise to drive recognition and implementation of their safety management accountabilities under the Sydney Trains Safety Management System.


You will manage the provision of safety services and safety advice to the Suburban Services Division to ensure consistency with contemporary good practice and will manage and oversee the preparation and peer review of specific safety related procedures, Safe Work Method Statements, Safe Work Instructions, plans, reports, assessments and analysis to meet operational needs.

About you


You will be an experienced safety professional and will be tertiary qualified. You will be a leader with previous experience developing and uplifting the capability of those around you and have previous experience working in a unionised environment.
 
You will have the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders at to ensure the successful delivery of safety initiatives.


This role would suit someone from the rail, transport, or a similar industry who has exceptional written and vernal comms skill, and who can use those skills to influence
