In this role, you'll:
Join our Short Term and Temporary Transport Planning team where you will develop transport management plans end to end in response to major events throughout Greater Sydney, including but not limited to New Years Eve, Mardi Gras, and major sporting and music events.
You will lead the development and management of Transport Management Plans, timetabling bus schedules, service disruption management for special events through regular consultation with stakeholders and other government agencies. to ensure safe and successful events while minimising the impacts to the non-event community.
This is a Temporary, Full Time position up to 24 months duration and offers hybrid working from our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office. As this position supports major events the successful candidate will be required to work outside of standard business hours on occasion.

About you
You are an experienced Transport Planner with exposure to working in short term transport planning within an operational environment, ideally bussing or public transport.
Your attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting and competing agendas of stakeholders will see you succeed in this role. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, have experience working to tight deadlines, and the ability to stay agile in a dynamic environment.
Experience developing and managing transport plans end to end within public transport or a similar operational environment is essential, and exposure to planning for major events would be highly regarded.
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would also be beneficial.
