In this role, you'll:
Provide a specialist technical support capability in a wide-ranging skill set including earthworks, structures, pavements, drainage, utility works, WHS management and program monitoring.
Have the opportunity to mentor, guide and foster improvements for the Surveillance Officer discipline and activities on Transport for NSW’s projects.
Acting as a mentor you will support trainee surveillance officers, engaging, educating and developing them with Surveillance best practice initiatives.

This is a site-based role and there will be access to a pool vehicle.

 

The projects sit in the greater Sydney area and is concentrated across a suite of roads and some maritime projects. 
 

This is a fixed term opportunity until 21/2/2027.

About you
You have previous experience guiding staff with the ability to advise surveillance officers of technologies, practices and processes of civil construction and maintenance works in a highly specialised field relevant to Agency works.

You have advanced knowledge of, and experience in applying the standards, policies and codes of practice applicable to the conduct of civil construction and maintenance works in a highly specialised field relevant to Agency works.

The ability to source, analyse, interpret and contribute to project, construction and contract documentation for the benefit of Surveillance Officers

Extensive experience in advising of best-practice record keeping and document management in a construction or maintenance environment.

Your interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will provide you the ability to foster positive, collaborative and constructive relationships in a construction and/ or maintenance environment.

Planning and organisational skills with a well-developed capacity to work under and manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Experience developing relevant training material to assist the development of knowledge for surveillance officers is preferred.
