In this role, you'll:
Join our Short Term and Temporary Transport Planning team where you will support the development of transport management plans in response to major events throughout Greater Sydney, including but not limited to New Years Eve, Mardi Gras, and major sporting and music events.

You will support the development and maintenance of Transport Management Plans, timetabling bus schedules, service disruption management for special events through regular consultation with stakeholders and other government agencies. to ensure safe and successful events while minimising the impacts to the non-event community.

This is a Temporary, Full Time position up to 24 months duration and offers hybrid working from our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office. As this position supports major events the successful candidate will be required to work outside of standard business hours on occasion.

About you
You have sound knowledge of the road and transport networks in Greater Sydney and across NSW, and have exposure to, and a genuine interest in transport planning, ideally within an operational environment.

Your attention to detail and ability to manage conflicting and competing agendas of stakeholders will see you succeed in this role. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, have experience working to tight deadlines, and the ability to stay agile in a dynamic environment.

Experience contributing to the development of transport plans, within public transport or a similar operational environment would be highly regarded. 

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license.
