In this role, you'll:
Provide systems engineering and assurance functions for the branch and broader branch strategic delivery portfolio. You will maintain a holistic view of business and technology systems and act as a trusted expert who will drive consistent systems engineering and assurance methodologies and practices across the Transport cluster. You'll adhere to and maintain a rigorous systems engineering governance framework that applies best practices and industry-leading methodologies and supports projects in delivering outcomes that are safe, reliable and fit for their intended purpose.
This is a temporary full-time role for up to 24 months. The role can be located in Tweed Heads / Far North Coast or in Sydney. There will be overnight travel involved, up to 2-3 days per month.

About you
We’re looking for someone to lead the Tunnel System Engineering team with good technical skills in tunnel system designs, system implementation, maintenance, automation and network management, and if you have a PLC programming background that would be highly desirable.
You’re self-motivated and can work constructively and autonomously to deliver agreed to outcomes, whilst having the ability to adapt to changing priorities, in a complex and changing environment, thinking outside the box.
Your strong communication skills give you the ability to resolve complex issues with different levels of stakeholders and internal tunnel maintenance teams.
You’ll have appropriate tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline (ideally system related) and demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
