In this role, you’ll:
- You will safely carry out the trade activities and other duties relevant to maintaining bridges and drain structures that will require experience with steel and concreting.
- Be based in the local area of Waratah.
- Be prepared to work away from home on a regular basis.
We have Permanent and 6-month Limited duration positions available to support our continued work in Bridges maintenance and delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of Transport for NSW that continue to maintain and upgrade Bridges that benefit the community of regional NSW.

About you:
We’re seeking trade qualified carpenters with extensive experience in steel and concrete formwork.
You hold one of the following trades:
- Carpenter and Joiner
- Construction Carpenter
- Bridge and Wharf Carpenter
- Civil Engineering Construction Carpenter
- Or equivalent and can work at heights or in confined spaces.
You can identify and report safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and rectify those without direction and report accordingly. You will also have the capability to achieve quality standards and follow established quality procedures within the scope of training provided in the role.
Finally, you hold a White Card, a current driver’s licence, and can work regularly away from home.
Working at Heights (EWP) Confined Space Traffic Control certification is desirable but not an essential requirement.
Applicants must be based within 30 minutes from the Waratah depot or willing to relocate.
