In this role, you'll:
Helping to keep our regional communities safe you will be responsible for 100km of road maintenance within West Wyalong region.
Leading our maintenance teams you will help increase the lifespan of our roads while ensuring safe and efficient delivery of maintenance tasks for Road projects.
Your role will also include:
- Working collaboratively with your crew to resolve issues and find the best solution to problems that may arise.
- Managing any conflict between team members or related external stakeholders.
- Mentoring and leading by example when providing on the job training to team members in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Safety remaining front and centre when performing daily activities and all environmental, quality controls are implemented on site.
- Ensuring scheduled maintenance activities are completed within the desired timeframes and within budget in accordance with TfNSW specifications and operating procedures.
This position is day shift; however, some call out and overtime will be required.

About you
We’re seeking a proactive and organised leader with extended knowledge and experience in a road maintenance environment.
You will have strong leadership skills leading and developing a team.
You will be an excellent communicator with great negotiation and conflict resolution skills along with a proven ability to follow appropriate safe working procedures and resolve routine problems independently.
We are also looking at applicants who can build strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
You’ll hold a white card, Traffic Control certification (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver’s licence (truck licence advantageous.
