The Division


The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.


The opportunity


Right now we have a newly created position for a Business Coordinator to join our Business Services Team within the Customer Service Experience and Planning branch. Working closely with the Business Services Manager, this role is responsible for providing support for a broad range of the Branch’s business planning, financial and administrative functions.


This position accommodates remote and flexible work practices across NSW, with the opportunity for you to work out of your nearest Regional or Outer Metropolitan office.


What you’ll be involved in


  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Customer Service Experience and Planning branch to support the delivery of improved regional customer service outcomes.
  • Assist with the business planning process, develop performance targets, prepare business reports and support a range of corporate functions including HR, finance and procurement.  
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the customer commitments and embed them in to the work we produce.


About you


The successful candidate will have advanced business administrative coordination experience and skills from working in a large organisation and understands the complexities of balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. They will ideally possess a decent level of financial acumen and have had exposure to business planning processes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills are critical to this role and they will thrive in dealing with the challenges arising from balancing the needs of the team and addressing ad hoc requests.


It is essential that as an integral part of a customer focused part of the business you will model the behaviours aligned with excellent customer service in all aspects of your professional engagement. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience is required.

Salary and Benefits


Transport Grade 7 ($106,086 - $118,816) plus superannuation and leave loading.
