You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.

Every day will be different and you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment that will see you embedded in our frontline, connecting with millions of people across NSW.

In this role, you'll:

Play a vital role within a dynamic team, where every day brings something different - and your decisions make a real impact. Whether it’s responding to major disruptions like flooding or resolving last-minute train crew challenges, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our services running smoothly. You'll be the link between incident response, alternative transport coordination, and clear, timely communication to our customers.

You’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performing team working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment - monitoring live operations, responding to incidents as they unfold, and helping lead recovery efforts. Your focus will include supporting passenger safety, assisting crews, and managing the movement of trains and coaches during challenging situations.

Collaboration is key in this role. You’ll work closely with station teams, operations, transport partners, and coach providers to make sure disruptions are handled effectively and customers are kept moving. You’ll also log and analyse operational delays—helping us learn, adapt, and improve how we respond in the future.

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, including late nights, weekends and public holidays. Flexibility is essential, as extended hours may occasionally be required at short notice.

About you

You have proven experience in operations and/or incident management ideally within transport, aviation, freight, or rail; paired with a strong customer-first mindset and a focus on safety, service reliability, and efficiency.

You're a confident communicator who thrives in dynamic, high-pressure environments, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and make sound decisions quickly.

Experience in rail operations, train crewing, or rolling stock management would be a strong advantage.
