In this role, you'll:
Work with a team of surveyors in our Engineering and System Integrity team within the Engineering and Maintenance branch of Sydney Trains.
You will assist in providing specialist rail surveys to support our rail network, this will include conventional and modern data capture technologies and associated deliverables. You will engage in a range of field activities and deliver survey projects, all geared towards delivering unparalleled support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Embedded within the survey team, you will play a crucial role in executing surveying projects and maintenance activities for Sydney Trains.
You will be provided with training in Railway surveying by experienced leaders to gain a solid understanding of how surveying relates to and supports the asset lifecycle.
We have 2 permanent full-time roles (on-site, in person) available where you will be located in either Auburn or Hornsby and will be required to travel and work on site.

About you
You will hold tertiary qualifications (TAFE or university), such as a Surveying Certificate or equivalent or a (Degree) in Surveying or equivalent Degree. Ideally, you will have proven ability to produce technical sketches, drawings and reports.
Above all, you’re proactive and committed to safety as well as achieving quality outcomes. You’re also an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with others.
You will be willing to attain Safeworking qualifications as well as experience in using relevant software, including CAD.
