In this role, you'll:
Be part of a dynamic and collaborative team supporting Fleet maintenance and other projects at the Auburn Depot. You will play a vital role in ensuring our procurement operations run smoothly. You will assist with the purchasing of goods and services, maintain accurate records, liaise with suppliers, and support the wider procurement team with day-to-day administrative tasks. This role contributes to the timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, sample coordination, and maintenance of procurement-related data


Working under the guidance of the Procurement Manager, you would collaborate with internal departments, projects, and operations teams to ensure alignment with production schedules and business requirements.

The role requires a high level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:
o Processing and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

 
o Supporting procurement activities that focus on key KPIs in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.

 
o Investigating and resolving issues related to non-conforming products (NCR)


o Maintaining procurement records and data using SAP and internal trackers.

 
o Helping to implement process improvement initiatives.

 
o Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet operational and production needs.

 

About you
You’re a capable and detail-oriented procurement professional with growing experience in delivering results in complex environments. You’ve supported multiple initiatives simultaneously and developed skills in supporting procurement related activities. You have a knack for details and are investigative by nature to always look for better ways of doing things and investigating for effective alternatives.

 

Strong experience in use of SAP would be essential in this role. Knowledge across a broad range of heavy engineering or infrastructure projects would set you up for success in the role.

You are a strong communicator with great stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination skills. With an analytical and proactive mindset and an eagerness to learn, you thrive in dynamic settings and bring clarity, organisation, and enthusiasm to every task

You bring:
o Experience using SAP in a procurement or purchasing role (essential)

 
o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

 
o A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once

 
o Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

 
o Experience in vendor coordination and follow-up

 
o Exposure to heavy engineering or infrastructure projects (highly desirable)

 
o An investigative approach and a drive for continuous improvement you thrive in dynamic, team-based environments and take ownership of your work while focusing on supporting broader operational goals.
