In this role, you'll:

  • Join our Asset Program Scheduling team within our Engineering and Maintenance branch at Sydney Trains and play a critical role in managing the delivery of our annual works maintenance and capital works design program for Major Works.
  • Your role will be focussed on optimising design scheduling and resource allocation for the annual works program and you’ll foster collaborative relationships working across a variety of disciplines, including Track, Civil, Bridges and many more.
  • This role will see you coordinating with key stakeholders on design projects from concept through to delivery. You'll effectively manage the schedule of proposed activities and provide design information status and reporting updates. You'll use tools such as P6 scheduling software to track progress and escalate issues. You'll gain great exposure to end-to end project and design management whilst developing a strong network.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in Engineering and Program Management working across engineering disciplines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Solid understanding of project scheduling and experience using project management tools such as Primavera P6.
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects or programs within transport or infrastructure industries and are familiar with asset lifecycle management and processes. You also bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills which will be key in managing resource constraints and competing priorities.
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic team player with solid organisational skills. You excel at connecting the dots as a problem solver, ensuring the seamless delivery of reliable services from beginning to end.

 

This is a permanent part-time opportunity that will involve working 19 hours per week over 3 days. Ideally you will work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday however there is some flexibility with the days of work. Please note: the salary advertised is based on the full-time rate and will be pro-rated according to the part-time arrangement (19 hours per week, which is 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent based on a 38-hour full-time week).
