In this role, you'll:
Joining the Program Planning & Development team within Major Works of Sydney Trains, this role will see you leading a team of Design Delivery Managers who are project managing the end-to-end project design life cycle, where you will be accountable for the timely delivery of fit for purpose constructable design solutions for a portfolio  engineering projects of Annual Works Program AWP).
 
You will ensure scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety are met and risk and issues reported regularly as you oversee the critical interface function for engineering and ensuring project/program line of sight for stakeholders.
 
This will include special projects in the portfolio including Control Systems and Facilities in a role that will involve fostering integration and innovation through the engineering process.
 
In this highly collaborative role, you both guide and mentor the team and act as the medium between internal stakeholders and external contractors involved in delivery of the projects to maintain technical assurance on externally delivered projects.
 
This is a permanent role.

About you
You will have tertiary degree qualifications in engineering, project management or relevant discipline and demonstrated experience in bringing together and leading a team as a mentor and coach.
 
You’re recognised as having commercial acumen and experience in project, contract and financial management and contract administration as well as significant experience in managing multiple and competing stakeholders within a complex project environment.
 
This will accompany your experience in design/project management, and financial and contract management experience preferably in a rail design environment coupled with a sound understanding of design standards on railway infrastructure.
 
In addition to this, you can bring to the team experience in Project Management Methodologies (e.g. PMBOK), project management tools like Primavera P6, MS Project and project reporting skills.
 
This is an Award RC7 Permanent Full-Time role, based at Clyde, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!
