In this role, you'll:
• Supervise and support routine periodical maintenance of signalling assets to ensure safety and compliance.
• Resolve technical issues to ensure reliability and minimise service disruptions.
• Assist in planning priorities and strategies with engineering and operations teams.
• Conduct field audits and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance.
• Monitor planned work and assess risks to network reliability.
• Provide expert advice on reliability improvements and engineering processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the signalling system and its performance.
• Collaborate with other divisions to provide specialist engineering advice.

About you
• Accreditation as a Sydney Trains Signal Engineer with a Licence to Practice.
• Proven experience in signal maintenance, construction, and commissioning in operational rail environments.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills applicable to multidisciplinary rail engineering contexts.
• Deep understanding of engineering principles and their application to signalling systems.
• Proven ability to deliver technical and engineering advice across all organisational levels.
• Sound knowledge of planning practices.
• NSW Class C driver’s license preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends regularly, as substantial maintenance activities are scheduled during weekend possessions.
