In this role, you'll:
lead the warehouse team to effectively deliver plans, schedules, and operational management for all Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) warehouse activities. This includes managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing facilities, and engaging stakeholders to deliver safe, timely, and cost-effective warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Operational Management:
Supervise and develop the warehouse team to ensure high performance, safety, and compliance. Oversee daily operations, including receipting, stock control, kitting, returns, disposals, and emergency inventory needs.
• Inventory Management & Reporting:
Lead all inventory activities including stocktaking, discrepancy investigations, and accurate reporting to internal and external regulators. Ensure inventory integrity through effective controls and prompt corrective actions.
• Facilities, Equipment & Compliance:
Manage maintenance of warehouse facilities, equipment, and calibration activities in line with compliance standards. Fulfil safety responsibilities under Sydney Trains’ Safety Management System.
• Stakeholder & Issue Management:
Build strong relationships with TFLE stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation, and resolution of operational issues.
• Strategy, Policy & Continuous Improvement:
Monitor and report on operational plans and procedures. Contribute to the development of strategies and tools to drive warehouse efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About you
You bring proven experience in warehouse, supply chain, and distribution management, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.
A confident and capable leader, you excel at supervising and developing teams to meet performance, safety, and compliance standards, while fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. You’re highly organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate warehouse operations - including inventory control, stock movements, and scheduling to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Your sound knowledge of warehouse systems, equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, and applicable safety protocols is backed by familiarity with inventory software and regulatory frameworks.
Known for your problem-solving ability, you identify operational challenges quickly and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption and risk. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills allow you to engage confidently with team members, stakeholders, and management, delivering clear direction and managing expectations professionally.
You hold a valid Australian Class C driver’s licence and a current forklift licence, further supporting your hands-on operational capability.
