Road Worker - Bega Maintenance

In this role, you'll:
- Perform road maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools
- Road maintenance activities may include, but not limited to, widening & barrier installs, enhanced road pavements, overtaking lanes and heavy patching works.
- Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
- On occasion attend call outs when required
- Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
- Work a 9-day fortnight roster

About you
We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.
You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.
You must hold the following qualifications:
- White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Traffic Control Ticket – Implement Traffic Control Plan
You must have previous experience as a Road Worker or related civil construction experience.
We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from the Bega depot.
