In this role, you'll:
be working as part of one of our road and maintenance teams delivering safe operations of light and medium vehicles and undertaking a range of road works maintenance duties when required.
This role will see you complete activities to quality requirements and perform routine and complex labouring tasks.
•As Truck Driver you will:
•Competently operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes)
•Be towing any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow
•Have labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.
•Have a strong understanding of the Chain of Responsibility and the importance WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, and maintaining record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.
Please note: This role is based in Lithgow however it covers a regional reach of up to an hour from the depot including out to Bathurst, Mount Victoria, Jenolan Caves Road and the Castlereagh Highway up to Capertee.

About you
We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume environment.
You have sound experience undertaking physical labouring duties.
You’ll also hold:
•Current Australian Medium Rigid (Class MR) License.
•Current Construction Industry White Card.
•Traffic Controller Card – ITraffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plan, or ability to gain within 3 months of employment.
•Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver’s license.
You’ll have a willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing, training or ticketing requirements as directed.
Experience and understanding of road networks across the district is desirable.
You will enjoy a 9-day fortnight roster with an RDO every second Monday on standard hours and you may volunteer to work outside regular working hours on occasion when required to attend after hour call-outs.
