In this role, you'll:
Carry out a variety of routine and more complex manual tasks, including the safe use of small equipment and hand tools (e.g. footpath roller, pole saw) that don’t require a licence. Tasks may be completed independently or as part of a team, under some supervision.
Identify and solve routine problems by following standard guidelines and manuals, and work with supervisors and managers to address more complex issues and meet work goals.
Take part in team meetings, planning, and activities that support continuous improvement and successful outcomes.
Understand and follow workplace regulations, procedures, and guidelines, and seek clarification when needed due to the variety of processes in place.
This position operates on a 9-day fortnight. In this position you will be required to work regularly away from home.
We are seeking applicants that reside within a 100 km radius to the Broken Hill depot.
The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours, attend after hour callouts, and be prepared to travel throughout the state and work at locations away from the base station.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in a civil environment where you will work with an experienced team that provide vital maintenance work to our roads and highways that will benefit the regional community.

About you
-
You are a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.

Experience in civil construction, or Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent qualification

You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.
You must hold the following tickets/ licences:
