In this role, you'll:

Be working within the Injury and claims management team, where you will lead, mentor and provide operational direction to a team of 15 injury and claims professionals. You will be supported by 2 Team Leaders.

You will also ensure the effective and efficient delivery of recovery at work services in compliance with NSW legislation, State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) and Insurance & Care NSW (iCare) requirements, in line with Transport for NSW business processes.

You will assist your Team Leaders to provide support across Transport for NSW in the self-insured and Treasury managed fund (TMF) environment. You will mentor and upskill your team to ensure we are effectively getting our injured employees back to work utilising proactive early intervention strategies.

You will also have a strong focus on business performance improvement that will result in reductions in claims costs and minimisation of time lost through injury for the client agencies.

About you

You are an experienced return to work or injury management professional who has strong leadership experience within a large and complex organisation. You will also have an allied health background and qualifications.

You will have demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams in both compensable and non-compensable matters.

You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills as this role will see you collaborating with insurers, regulators and internal stakeholders. You will have exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and be able to speak and mentor with influence.
