Fitter / Plant Operator
Chullora, NSW, AU, 2190
You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally.
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Play a hands-on role in supporting the Ballast Recycling Business (BRC) Unit by operating front-end loaders, loading trucks and trains, and performing minor maintenance repairs on loaders and trucks. You’ll carry out machinery maintenance checks, use hand and power tools, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
You’ll work safely and efficiently as part of a small team, often with minimal supervision, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll attend work trains for material movement and be available to work at track sites where spoil processing is required. You’ll also perform mechanical inspections and minor repairs on plant equipment at BRC Chullora.
Training and development will be part of your journey, helping you build your skills in a competency-based engineering environment.
