In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team providing Engineering and Maintenance work across the Sydney Trains Network.
This role will see you play a key role in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of track. The work is rewarding, primarily outdoors and will involve working in all kinds of weather at various times of the day and night, seven days a week.
You will be primarily based at our Clyde Heavy Plant depot, you’ll work with a diverse and dedicated team as well as encouraging managers. At times you will be required to work across the rail network which will require a significant amount of travel.
The role is rostered shift work including night shifts, weekends, public holidays.
You will be required to live away from home on occasions to help us manage your safety and fatigue.

About you
You possess skills in plant operation, worksite protection and inspection and can undertake heavy manual work
You have experience working in a safety critical environment and can demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices and safety management systems
You can demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills and are able to use computer systems /mobile solutions and e-mail communications
You hold a current NSW Class C drivers licence and are comfortable driving a 4WD/UTE type of vehicle.
The below qualifications are desirable:
• WHAO1 Hand signalling Certificate
• PO02 – Protection Officer Class 2
• Maintain and Certify Track
• TVO - Track Vehicle Operator
• TMO Heavy - Track Machine Operator
You will have a strong work ethic, previous experience working in a construction/maintenance environment, ability to work with technical/industrial equipment who can follow technical work instruction and who is safety focused.
You will have a positive attitude and want to make a real difference for Sydney Trains’ commuters.
Successful candidate will need to complete a Medical check
