Plant Mechanic - Clyde

In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team in our major brownfield construction hub at the Clyde Heavy Plant Depot, and will be responsible for the maintenance, fault finding and service breakdowns of heavy on-track and specialised rail machinery and equipment.
This role will see you conducting a wide variety of plant maintenance activities on mobile and stationary plant equipment; including Rail Work trains, Track Machines, Bob Cats, Excavators and light mobile plant, no two days will be the same.
This is a 24/7 roster position and will at times require you to live away from home.
On top of the base wage the role attracts overtime and a range of allowances including, living away from home allowance, night shift penalties and allowances working outside the depot.

About you:
You will be Trade qualified with Cert III in Mobile Plant Technologies or Certificate III - Automotive Electrical Technology or Certificate III Engineering - Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic (Mechanical Stream) or Equivalent.
Your enthusiasm and strong work ethic coupled with your sound technical knowledge of plant and machinery formed across your work life as a plant mechanic or within the automotive electrical industry make you a great candidate.
Your broad experience across heavy plant as well as your abundance of electrical knowledge and expertise outside of the automotive field is notable. You’re an excellent trouble shooter, good at problem solving, can think logically but also laterally, if need be, and enjoy working as an integral part of a diverse dynamic team.
You might also have experience in hydraulics and/or pneumatics, but we don’t mind if you don’t!
Experience working on the Rail network will be preferred but not essential.
