In this role, you'll:
Joining the Major Works Division (MWD) of the Engineering and Maintenance Directorate within Sydney Trains, this role will see you lead the scheduling capability for this branch which inlcudes managing and leading a team of schedulers in providing high level program schedules, detailed project schedules and resource plans. You will maintain subject matter expertise around detailed multidiscipline schedules and lead the successfully delivery of a broad range of maintenance and construction projects across the Sydney Trains network.

About you
A background in scheduling on large and complex infrastructure projects has equipped you with an understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges of our environment and will enable you to contribute to our high performing team. Most importantly, you are a careful decision maker, demonstrating expert application of relevant project and risk management principles before producing schedules.
It’s no secret that you will encounter challenges in this public service role - the stakes are high and the pressure is on as we deal with budget and time constraints, interface issues and public scrutiny. Experience working in a program capacity on numerous multidiscipline projects will equip you with the resilience and determination required to overcome these unique obstacles with an open mind and positive attitude.
You will also have tertiary qualifications in Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and extensive experience in project and construction management, ideally rail delivery involving multi-discipline works.
Your experience will include using modern scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or similar for resource scheduling coordination.
