District Maintenance Coordinator Sydney Trains (Up to 11 Months Temporary Opportunity)

In this role, you'll:
• Join our Facilities Management team at Sydney Trains to coordinate and deliver maintenance across a portfolio of train stations and Network Maintenance Depots within a geographical region that includes the South, Illawarra and East Hills Lines, to ensure the buildings and facilities meet safety, customer, and Sydney Trains and legislative standards.
• Act as the primary operational contact for Facilities Management, conducting inspections, identifying defects, raising and tracking work orders, and liaising with internal stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance outcomes.
• Manage onsite contractors and maintenance providers, scoping and supervising works, monitoring performance and safety, and handling reporting, financial tracking, and record-keeping as part of both routine operations and special projects.
This is a fixed term opportunity to 28 March 2026 located at our East Hills Depot. Travel will be required to various sites across a geographical region that includes the South, Illawarra and East Hills Lines, therefore it is essential you hold a full NSW driver’s license. You also need to have the ability to provide 24/7 on-call and call-out support.

About you
• You hold a Trade qualification (or have equivalent experience) in a building discipline such as carpentry, painting, plumbing or bricklaying and bring a strong working knowledge of building codes, safety standards and maintenance practices.
• You’ve had experience managing contractors or service providers, understand procurement processes, and can work confidently with technical documentation like drawings and specifications.
• You’re comfortable working independently across multiple sites, and balancing on-site work with reporting, budgeting and stakeholder communication. A current NSW driver’s licence is essential.
