Technical Storeperson - Asset & Support (Temporary Opportunity up to 12 months)

In this role, you'll:

Work within our Passenger Information Operational Technology Team within the Engineering & Maintenance Branch of Sydney Trains, with a focus on the logistics and asset / store management for the ongoing availability and reliability of our Passenger Information, CCTV and Operational Technology systems.

This role will see you play a critical role in maintaining effective asset management, inventory, and supply chain processes. The role contributes to organisational outcomes by enabling timely access to critical equipment, reducing downtime, and strengthening service delivery.

You will work onsite at our Erskineville depot as well as from time-to-time travel to our Chullora and Clyde depots for logistics support. This will include overseeing the store operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of critical materials in compliance with WHS and regulatory standards.

About you

Your logistics and Storeman experience will be within a environment that involves IT Hardware and equipment.  Ideally, this will also see you bring qualifications like CompTIA A+ Certificate or a relevant Certificate IV tertiary qualifications or higher in Information Technology, Logistics, Asset Management or Supply Chain Management.

You’re recognised for your experience in store or warehouse management within an asset-intensive environment with expertise in asset lifecycle and inventory management and working with an enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as SAP.

You are a people person who is passionate about what you do and able to understand IT products like servers and switches.

This is an Award RC5 Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time role till 06/11/26 based onsite at the Erskineville depot with the need to travel to our other depots in Chullora and Clyde from time to time – around 1 day per week.
