Sydney Trains’ Tangara fleet makes up a quarter of our suburban rail fleet. To ensure its longevity, the Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will upgrade operating systems, modernise onboard passenger information systems, and enhance accessibility features for mobility-impaired passengers. The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.
In this role, you'll:
- Manage a range of best practice systems safety and assurance activities through design, testing and handover to ensure compliance with required functional and safety standards and requirements and act as a point of contact for key project sponsors, stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure that change is managed safely and effectively on the Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) project.
- Develop internal processes and documentation to support the Systems Safety and Assurance process.
- Perform Systems Safety and Assurance reviews, to demonstrate compliance with Safety Assurance arguments.

About you
You hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Systems Integration or equivalent professional qualifications.
You are experienced in safety and assurance activities, ideally within a rolling-stock environment or similar setting.
You are able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.
