Sydney Trains’ Tangara fleet makes up a quarter of our suburban rail fleet. To ensure its longevity, the Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will upgrade operating systems, modernise onboard passenger information systems, and enhance accessibility features for mobility-impaired passengers. The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.
In this role, you'll provide high-level project management support and coordination to the Project Delivery Tangara Fleet Life Extension TFLE team, by working collaboratively with project team members and stakeholders, and by coordinating project related information and reporting requirements. You get to be a part of once in a lifetime project.
Work on a unique project that will make a real impact and will provide greater efficiency, more reliability and an uplift of the customer experience for NSW.
This role will see you develop and maintain project schedules and documentation, and deliver procurement activities to ensure that projects are delivered to agree time, cost and quality standards. This includes coordination of project reporting, and the preparation of briefing notes, ministerial and other relevant documents ot support informed decision making. You are a conduit between the Production team, engineering and Testing team. You are always trying to improve the process or streamline things to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
As well as having the opportunity to play a role in some of Sydney Trains' key customer-centric programs, this is also a career progression role in project management.

About you
Your projects experience achieved in complex manufacturing/delivery environment(s) that are customer facing and operational, will ideally include experience in transport and rail.
In addition to this, you are interested in developing your career in projects and the potential of pathing a future career in Project Management.
You’re recognised as being someone who can bring activities and a team together to deliver on outcomes and make sure we are tracking against the correct schedule. You are a strong communicator and team player with an eye for detail. You are also highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills. Your strong project co-ordination skills coupled with abilty to be courageous and speak up when you see something's not right will help us shape transport customer experience that will enhance our communities and have a lasting impact for generations to come.
You will have demonstrated experience in a stakeholder engagement and project management support role where your focus has been on project coordination activities including business improvement processes and stakeholder management.
