Sydney Trains’ Tangara fleet makes up a quarter of our suburban rail fleet. To ensure its longevity, the Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will upgrade operating systems, modernise onboard passenger information systems, and enhance accessibility features for mobility-impaired passengers. The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.

 


In this role, you'll:

 

  • Support the delivery of rolling stock testing and commissioning activities for the Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) program in accordance with the relevant requirements
  • Lead required testing to provide verification and validation of the acquired/modified rolling stock. This includes ensuring the testing activities are performed to the schedule and to the required quality.
  • Lead, mentor and provide direction to the Test Engineers and Test Technician’s assisting with the testing activities.

About you


You are a tertiary qualified engineer with qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent relevant discipline, with experience within a rolling-stock design, testing or maintenance environment.

You possess well developed stakeholder management skills and have the ability to communicate with influence across both verbal and written communication.

You will have the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects and their intended objectives.
