In this role, you'll:

Work within our Facilities Management team within Customer Environment of the Suburban Services Branch of Sydney Trains with a focus on technical expertise for Lifts and Escalator Assets on site for a designated area.


This role will see you joining a small and collaborative team where you will look after a designated area either North or South on the Sydney Trains network with responsibility for looking after all breakdown and defects of Lift and Escalator assets that occur.


You will be responsible for overseeing our external contractors work completed for breakdown and defects repairs and maintenance conducted.  This will include scheduled audit inspections to report back to the business that the work is to the required standards and advise on strategies to improve and prevent, repeat breakdowns, safety issues for customers and any lengthy outages for assets where possible.

About you

Your tertiary qualifications or trade certificate in a mechanical or electrical discipline combined with strong industry experience with lifts and escalators, or similar asset type, will enable you to provide the deliverables of the role.

 

Your recognised for your attention to detail and  experience with or the ability to learn software programs such as Microsoft Office and SAP.  You also work equally well within an office environment and onsite and thrive working autonomously, able to self manage and also enjoy the opportunity of coming together with the team to provide insightful direction and input to improving current issues.

 

 In addition to this, your good communication and collaboration skills and ability to work in a large and complex stakeholder environment will enable you to partner with a team and our external stakeholder groups and deliver successful technical outcomes for the business.

 

This is an Award RC6 Permanent Full-Time role based in Granville, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!. The role will allow you to cover a designated area either South or North of Sydney and will require flexibility to travel to those locations for onsite work as well. This will involve being on-call during rostered after-hours periods, to provide emergency response coordination, including the very occasional call-out to site with overtime allowance provided as well.
