In this role, you'll:


In this role you will carry out Customer Service tasks and provide assistance as required to maintenance staff with inspection, maintenance, functional testing, repair, and component changes to mechanical/pneumatic and electrical systems.

 
You will also focus on assisting in the repair of defective trains in the maintenance centres to allow trains to remain in or return to service. The incumbent will work across all nontrade and customer service tasks to facilitate the effective and efficient completion of the work.


Other duties could include; remove/replace as required, seats, seat covers, curtains, replace windows and windscreens on rail cars and carry out customer service activities such as painting, graffiti removal, fitting of decals, replacement of seats and windows.

About you


This role will see you assist in inspections and component changes to train lighting and associated fittings and components on electric passenger trains.


You will have local experience working as a Trade Assistant in the Construction or Rail industries.


The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.
