In this role, you'll:
Lead and manage multiple teams/squads to develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate Cyber Defence, risk and resilience services, in order to reduce cyber and technology risk across the Transport enterprise and support achievement of organisational objectives. This role requires senior management and director-level engagement.
Deliver the Program as per scope, budget, schedule and quality, with monthly reporting to uplift and enhance Transport Cyber Security platforms across the organisation. You will manage the interdependencies between various projects within the Program so as to ensure overall benefits realisation and risk buy down.
Ensure optimal resource management including project resources of 15-20 direct reports, Cyber Security Operations (CSO) and Infrastructure Services & Service Integration (ISSI) resources, Transport’s strategic / managed vendors and other third party professional service resources.
Ensure the IT work package is effectively governed and controlled within clearly defined scope, quality, time and budgetary constraints and provide expert advice to facilitate the delivery of strategic priorities, drive efficiency and ensure positive business and customer outcomes.
Develop, maintain and manage relationships and communications with senior stakeholders, meeting the challenges with confidence, and dealing with frequently conflicting and/or competing objectives and drivers of stakeholders.
Fixed term, full time role up to December 2025 | Hybrid flexible work practices, Macquarie Park home office base.

About you
- Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile, etc) with extensive experience (4 years+) in project managing large/complex projects.
- Significant Agile experience is key to this role.
- Proven leadership and management experience at a senior IT level (4 years+).
- Demonstrated delivery implementation experience (5+years) managing key vendors and working with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships, matrix management and influencing teams to deliver outcomes, to meet overall delivery schedule.
- Experience in developing business cases and investment briefs.
- Experience and familiarity delivering in Transport and/or NSW Government (well regarded).
