In this role, you'll:
Working as a Quality Assurance Technical Inspector within the Fleet Delivery & Integration team, you will ensure that fleet assets acquired by TfNSW are delivered and commissioned on time, on budget and to the technical, quality and safety requirements determined by the project and Independent Regulator.
You will facilitate project-specific technical, quality, safety, and environmental requirements to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
An important part of the role will be conducting quality audits and inspections, promptly reporting risks and issues, including meeting deadlines. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing investigations, surveys, and witnessing testing, reporting resulting issues to ensure fleet quality aligns with configuration baseline and safety standards.
Your role involves analysing problems and providing input for system modifications to enhance operation and performance. Furthermore, you will be tasked with implementing monthly reporting aligned with on-time, on-budget delivery and project management methodology.
This position id initially offered and a fixed-term contract until 24/12/2026. The potential of extension will depend on the Future Fleet Programme.
You will be based at Kangy-Angy approximately three days a week with the additional days at Broadmeadow.

About you
You are a skilled Quality Assurance Technical Inspector working within the Fleet and Rail industry with a robust technical background and relevant trade qualifications or higher education in engineering or manufacturing disciplines.
Your expertise lies in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within manufacturing environments, particularly in the rail or transportation sector.
You have a proven track record of conducting meticulous inspections and audits of electrical, mechanical, and IT systems, coupled with the ability to analyse issues and provide valuable recommendations for system improvements.
You have experience in facilitating the development and approval of project-specific technical requirements, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Your career journey has equipped you with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, effective communication, and reporting skills essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
