In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a crucial team, you will play a key role in uplifting and maintaining Transport’s Cyber Data Mart—a critical capability that supports strategic, data-driven decision-making through accurate and secure cyber data.

You will build and optimise data solutions that enhance scalability, integration, and performance to align with a metadata-driven environment, to enable seamless data ingestion, transformation, and future integration while ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across the data ecosystem.

Please note this is a temporary opportunity until June 26 and is based at Macquarie Park with hybrid work arrangements

About you
You’re an experienced data professional with 8+ years in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, including at least 3 years working in Azure cloud environments. Your strong data engineering and cloud expertise across Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake and SQL enables you to design and implement enterprise-scale ETL/ELT Metadata driven pipelines that are robust, and scalable.

You’re highly skilled in Power BI, building impactful reports and dashboards on top of well-designed BI semantic layers and dimensional models. You bring strong MS T-SQL skills (including stored procedures, views, indexing and performance tuning) and are comfortable working within Azure DevOps practices.

You have a proven track record of integrating and analysing complex datasets from disparate sources to deliver high-quality insights for senior stakeholders. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills mean you can clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, and ideally bring experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin, Microsoft certifications, and exposure to cybersecurity platforms such as Qualys, Prisma and ServiceNow.
