In this role, you'll:


This role is critical in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services that contribute to Sydney Trains’ operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Operating in a complex and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for overseeing workforce planning, rostering, and operational assignments, with a strong focus on safety, performance, and service delivery.

As an Area Manager in Fleet Customer Experience you will lead a diverse and geographically dispersed team across multiple locations, across our maintenance yards, stabling yards, and station locations. Requiring a hands-on and strategic leadership approach. Your ability to drive key initiatives, foster a high-performing culture, and manage change will be vital to your success in this role.

The position involves variable hours, including on-call and shift work, and demands the ability to respond to dynamic operational requirements while ensuring service continuity and the achievement of key performance indicators.

About you


Your high level written and verbal communications skills will have seen you delivering results within a customer centric business environment – ideally involving the management of cleaning outcomes within a rail or similar industry.

You’re recognised as being a strong problem solver with the proven ability to resolve operational issues that have daily time constraints.  This will accompany your interpersonal skills to deal with stakeholders and external contractor groups whilst managing a multifaceted team.
 
This is an Award RC5 Permanent Full-Time, based at the Mortdale Maintenance centre, working Day shifts onsite typically 8am to 4pm. The role will also cover other Stabling yards, Maintenance centres and stations. This will include Bondi Junction Station, Central Station, Revesby Station, Waterfall Station, Cronulla Station, Macdonaldtown Stabling Yard and the home base - Mortdale Maintenance Centre.
