About you

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will need to be able to build rapport and develop strong stakeholder relations across multiple internal and external sources. You will need to leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.

Critical thinking is key for the role. You need to have the ability to review multiple development applications, traffic analysis in a time critical environment and assess their transport impacts – this requires high level problem-solving, creativity, and a refusal to accept things at face value. The role will suit an experienced Traffic / Development Engineer familiar with Development application assessment, Urban and Regional Planning, Traffic engineering, modelling and Transport Planning processes applicable to NSW. We will also consider people from other backgrounds with relevant skills and experience.

The role supports a variety of work in the West Region of NSW. The team office base is Parkes but we  have offices at a number of locations across the West and encourage people regionally based in New South Wales to apply as we have flexible working arrangements available.
