Network Solution Architect (Temporary Opportunity up to 12 months)

In this role, you'll:

Own the end-to-end design, testing and rollout of secure, high-performance network architectures across AWS (predominantly), Azure, on-prem and partner environments

You’ll be responsible for architecting solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards to support business systems and services.

Join our collaborative Regulatory Services Platform and Technology team—an environment that values growth, development, and your contribution to high-quality, secure service delivery.

This is a fixed-term full-time role until 30/04/2026, based at our Parramatta office with a hybrid work model.

About you

Essential Skills

• Strong background in enterprise network engineering and solution architecture, particularly in hybrid cloud environments (AWS, on-prem, and partner networks).
• Expert knowledge of AWS network architecture, including:
  • VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPC Lattice, VPN, Direct Connect, Route 53
  • Designing secure and scalable multi-VPC and hybrid connectivity solutions
• Experience in hybrid network design, such as:
  • Integration with third-party gateways (e.g. Telstra Cloud Gateway)
  • Site-to-site IPSec VPNs, DMVPN, and secure routing between cloud and on-prem
• Deep understanding of network security architectures:
  • Palo Alto firewalls (perimeter security, traffic inspection)
  • GlobalProtect VPN (secure remote access)
• Familiarity with non-cloud-native technologies in secure hybrid environments:
  • Akamai (CDN, WAF, edge security
  • Zscaler (SASE/Zero Trust access)
• Proficient in:
  • Routing protocols, segmentation, subnetting, firewall rules, telemetry
  • DNS, load balancing, and traffic shaping
• Skilled in producing clear network architecture documentation:
  • High- and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs), security models, routing diagrams, integration specs
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
• Able to work collaboratively with security, application, platform, and vendor teams in large enterprise environments.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
