Operations Analyst Programmer

In this role, you'll:

Be responsible for supporting applications and their integrations, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of high-quality data flow through Bus Transport Operational Technology applications.
You will also provide technical design input and subject matter expertise for defect fixes and minor enhancements across applications managed by the Technology Operations team.
Review technical solutions and suggest alternative approaches to meet new business requirements, working with Java, J2EE, Oracle Database, Spring Boot Framework, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD DevOps tools.

This role is a fixed-term, full-time contract until 30/06/2025, with a high possibility of extension. It is based in Redfern with a hybrid working arrangement.

About you

•Extensive experience and working knowledge of operational and business applications, as well as data support services.
•Proven experience in Agile IT project delivery teams.
•Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot Framework, Oracle, SQL, and DevOps tools and technologies.
•Familiarity with Linux and Unix-based operating systems; experience with scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell is a plus.
•Knowledge of cloud and hybrid hosting environments is advantageous.
•Strong experience in a production support environment, working collaboratively with global delivery partners and team members.
•Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant professional experience as a Technical Lead in project delivery or support environments.
•Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable to diverse situations.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
