In this role, you'll:
As part of the Workforce Capability & Learning team within People & Culture branch you will report to the Director of Workforce Capability & Learning and oversee the intitial entry training programs frameworks for Sydney Trains.
You will manage the end-to-end Trainees, Cadets, Apprentices and Graduate programs as well as manage the ongoing governance of programs, using Risk Based Training Needs Analysis to ensure program training and assessment materials remain current.
This highly collaborative role will see you engage across the business and with external partners to identify and implement improvements in Entry Employment Training programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

About you
You’re excited about the opportunity to take accountability of complex people-based programs and projects, which deliver a great participant experience and meet our organisational goals.
You have proven skills and knowledge in the design, delivery and review of Traineeships, Apprenticeships, and Community Engagement activities to support this. Ideally, you will also have some experience with reporting First Nation’s numbers for our Aboriginal Cadet program.
You are Tertiary qualified or have equivalent industry-based experience within a relevant workplace context with proven ability to lead training programs or function within a complex, highly industrialised environment.
You are highly motivated to drive and achieve outcomes with strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, which have enabled success in your previous roles.
Your previous experience managing and mentoring team members will help you lead and empower the function and team to deliver efficiency and improvement across the programs to enable the long term success and engagement of new trainees.
