In this role, you'll:
Join our Maintenance and Delivery Southern Bridges team where you will be responsible for developing and delivering bridge infrastructure and maintenance projects to achieve road safety, asset management and network efficiency objectives.
You will manage project and delivery processes including the delivery of direct control and contract works, prepare contract documents for bridge works projects, including technical specifications to engage, administer and deliver contract works, and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
This is a temporary, full time position up to June 2026, and is based at our Russel Vale office. Please note that this role involves ad hoc site work and travel throughout the South Region, therefore there will be a requirement to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion with some over night stays.
The Project Engineer Level 1-2 is suitable for graduate engineers and also for more experienced engineers. The pay scale for each of these roles will be negotiated with the successful applicant according to their skills and work experience.

About you
You hold a civil/related engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications and you will have previous experience in the design, construction and/or maintenance of bridge and culvert structures. Knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road, bridge and other related traffic infrastructure construction and maintenance, along with exposure to managing a direct control workforce will also be critical to your success.
You are a proactive analytical thinker with strong communication skills. Your ability to astutely manage time and work collaboratively and closely with stakeholders to deliver is paramount, as is your dedicated commitment to safety and quality.
It is also a requirement of this role that you hold a current and valid Australian motor vehicle license.
