In this role, you'll:
Work as a Work Group Leader Track & Structures as part of our innovative Network Maintenance division. We are looking to fill x2 positions - x1 Sutherland Depot and x1 Sydenham Depot.
You’ll play a key role in the allocation of work to a committed Work Group and assist in meeting and exceeding agreed specifications and scope of works safely and on time. You’ll also work alongside, collaborate and support your Team Leader with all aspects of project delivery.
As well as managing the delivery of works and maintaining the safe operation and security of equipment and resources, you’ll help ensure all team members are confident and competent to perform their roles and if not, be pivotal in identifying and providing coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities to ensure continuous improvement and high standards are achieved.

This position is rostered (24/7) therefore flexibility is essential to be successful in this role.
About you
You are competent and assessed to or in training or awaiting training to an AVP 3.1 level, (Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure level or equivalent with sound knowledge and experience in Rail Track & Structures assets).
You are competent as Protection Officer Level 2 (or willing to obtain within a 6-month period)
You will hold a Heavy Ridged Driving Licence (or willing to obtain within a 6-month period)
Not only do you possess strong leadership skills with demonstrated frontline supervisory experience, refined diagnostical, analytical and problem-solving ability but you’re a great communicator, enjoy collaborating with others, take pride in your and your team’s work and always take a safety-first approach.
