Maintenance Officer (Temporary Opportunity - Up to 24 months)

In this role, you'll:
Work within our Maintenance Operations City South team within the Network Maintenance Branch of Sydney Trains, with a focus on providing procurement to the operations function and planning team in the Sydenham depot.
This role will see you ordering/organising various necessary equipment/workers i.e., plant hire, protective uniforms and labour hire as required. A key aspect of this role will be checking invoices, reconciliation, records management and data collection. There will be a requirement to audit records, analyse information, checking for trends and discrepancies and then reporting back findings.
You will be working in a large team based in Sydenham and involved in different projects related to Rail Repairs, Overheads etc.

About you
Your experience will be in procurement/office administrative systems and procedures including records management, compliance and audits.
You’re recognised for your exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and skills in stakeholder engagement.
In addition to this, you have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You are someone who has a passion for supporting and implementing process improvements as well as being computer literate with MS Office and excel skills and willing to undergo any additional software training that is required for you to be successful in this role.
This is an onsite Award RC3 Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time role till 10/11/2027 based in Sydenham. Hours of work are flexible and can be negotiated between 7am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
