In this role, you'll:


• Work as part of our Asset Scheduling and Delivery Coordination team within our Engineering and Maintenance branch of Sydney Trains focused on the planning and management of Train possessions. 
• Oversee internal teams and teams of contractors and help plan and manage midweek possessions for these teams. Plan and gather all the information to coordinate the track closure and manage trains and train timetables to work around track access. 
• Ensure appropriate staffing, facilities and plant are in place to implement the annual Possession Program. You’ll also be responsible for entering and managing important information in PACT for train notices, track closures and other relevant documents, ensuring everything is safe for our workers and customers.

About you


• Demonstrated experience as a Possession Officer will enable you to excel in this role, supporting the Major Works team to deliver their essential projects in their Annual Works Program.
• You’re an excellent communicator with the ability to interface with up to 30 people at a time.
• Hold safe working qualification to work nights and hold Officer Level 4 qualification to fulfil your key accountabilities.

This is an Award RC3 Fixed term full-time role to 30/01/2026. This role may require working on a 24/7 roster to support track possessions on the Illawarra line on weeknights and weekends and will involve travel up and down the corridor from Sutherland to Wollongong. This role is heavily office-based Mon-Fri at Sydenham however as the possessions change week on week, the office base where you will work can change.
